Private clinics offering intimate healthcare services occupy a uniquely sensitive space within the independent healthcare sector, one where clinical competence alone is not sufficient to ensure safe, compliant practice. This presentation examines the critical intersection between intimate care delivery and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulatory requirements, highlighting how a thorough understanding of the fundamental standards protects both patient and practitioner.
Drawing on real-world regulatory experience, this session explores the specific risks inherent in intimate examinations and treatments including consent, dignity, safeguarding, and the appropriate use of chaperones and how these map directly into CQC's core regulations, particularly those governing safe care and treatment, safeguarding from abuse, and good governance. The presentation will address the practical safeguards practitioners can put in place to protect themselves from complaints or allegations, while ensuring patients receive care that is transparent, dignified, and properly documented.
Attendees will leave with a clear framework for embedding CQC compliance into everyday intimate care practice, understanding that robust regulatory awareness is not a bureaucratic burden but a core clinical safeguard, essential to building patient trust and protecting practitioners working in this high-risk area of private healthcare.
Male intimate wellness is one of the most under-served areas of clinical practice. This session takes a whole-man view, beginning with andropause - the gradual testosterone decline that reshapes energy, mood, libido and skin from the forties onward - and sets out where aesthetic and regenerative medicine can help, and where it should not. Dr Hamida-Pisal covers evidence-based, non-surgical options including PRP therapy (the "P-Shot"), mesotherapy and skin quality, alongside the assessment of Peyronie's disease and support for erectile function and confidence. Throughout, he models safe, doctor-led governance and honest referral boundaries, including hormonal management that protect patients and build trust.
Running a successful practice goes far beyond clinical skill — it requires smart risk management and the right protection in place. This practical session will explore the most common risks facing practitioners today, from treatment-related claims to business and operational exposures, and outline the essential safeguards every clinic should have to protect their livelihood. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to future-proof their practice and operate with greater confidence.

Menopause brings significantchanges to the pelvic floor, yet symptoms such as vaginal dryness, urinary leakage , pelvic pressure or prolapse are often overlooked or accepted as a normal part of the ageing. This session will explore how hormonal changes affect pelvic floor function and bladder health, the common symptoms women may experience, and when these should prompt further assessment. It will also discuss current approaches to prevention , management and treatment , with a focus on improving quality of life and helping women feel more informed and confident about their pelvic health.
Intimate health is a powerful reflection of whole-body wellbeing, yet it is often managed in isolation. This presentation challenges that approach, exploring how traditional medicine, lifestyle medicine and evidence-based therapeutics intersect to optimise vulvovaginal health. Drawing on current research and clinical practice, Tracey Dennison, Consultant Nurse Practitioner, will connect the dots between hormones, inflammation, the microbiome, nutrition, stress, sleep and sexual wellbeing. Delegates will discover practical, evidence-based strategies to identify systemic drivers of intimate health conditions, deliver truly holistic care and improve outcomes for women throughout every stage of life.
